It’s always a pleasure to work with chapters of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, especially those with long associations like those involved in the Southern Proposal Accents Conference (SPAC). This year, we were invited to make a presentation in support of their theme, “The World of Proposals – from Start to Finish.” Our presentation was titled, “Paying Attention to Guideposts – Taking the Best Route to your Destination.”
Our presentation focused on five proposal best practices that could be used to guide better proposal development and help proposal professionals take better control of their processes. We supported our thesis with data gathered specifically for the presentation, a sample of which is shared in this post. The analysis included organizational imperatives, resource strategies, and performance indicators – altogether a roadmap to more successful proposals and better practices along the way.
Take-aways from the presentation included data on what leading companies do, how they do it, and what they achieve, allowing us to suggest ways that attendees could develop their own business case for implementing best practice in their organizations.
